Disabled car for a day out
At the beginning of each year WavsGB nominate a charity or organisation to help out with either fundraising or donations.
This year was the turn of Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW), who provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family. In addition to support they provide respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at three wonderful children’s hospices. The closest one to our location is Charlton Farm near Bristol, and they also have hospices in Barnstaple and Cornwall.
At the beginning of the year WavsGB offered the CHSW the gift of 10 FREE wheelchair accessible hire days and additionally any family currently being cared for by CHSW can obtain a significant discount on their wheelchair accessible vehicle hire.
Recently Children’s Hospice South West at Charlton Farm organised a fun day trip and used one of our Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles for free, they had a great day and we were really pleased to have been able to help.
