WavsGB is over 10 years old this year (2024) – how time flies!
During that time we have met many wonderful people and we have considered ourselves privileged to be in a position where we are able to help and make a real difference to the lives of families and individuals.
It is our mission to help people find the best wheelchair accessible vehicle for their specific needs and circumstance. Buying a new vehicle is, for most people, an exciting prospect and while that holds true for a lot of WAV customers, for some it can be a very difficult time where a WAV is an unexpected, and sometimes, forced purchase. We pride oursleves on helping everyone no matter the circumstance of their purchase in as stress-free way as possible not just with the initial purchase but the peace of mind that a fully functional and hassle-free vehicle can bring.
We don’t hard-sell, we do let our customers take their time and decide on the vehicle that is as perfect as can be for their requirements, expectations and budget.
If you visit us we can demonstrate vehicles you may be interested in, show you how they work (it’s simple) and let you take suitable vehicles out on a test drive. If you’re not able to visit us – we can chat to you on the phone to explain the vehicle choices, send you videos and bring the car to you to demonstrate (chargeable). We’re here to help and any questions you have we are only to pleased to answer them.
Wheelchair vehicle handover
Recently we had the pleasure of meeting the Stoddart family.
They contact us looking for a specific vehicle to be able to transport their son Charlie around.
We didn’t have the quite the right WAV in stock at the time but we managed to locate an absolutely perfect VW Caddy Maxi which ticked all the boxes.
The family came to collect the WAV in person (bringing their previous WAV to part exchange) and it was lovely to meet Charlie and his parents, show them around the vehicle and handover the keys knowing that this WAV would have a positive effect on their lifes.

If you’re looking for a wheelchair vehicle and you’re not sure of your next steps or what kind of vehicle you’d like please do get in touch with us or if you’re passing please do pop-in we’d be only to happy to help.
