During 2022 we’ve spoken to, demonstrated to, sold to and asnwered thousands of questions from lots of wonderful customers and people looking for wheelchair accessible vehicles. These are the most popular wheelchair accessible vehicles…
1: Mercedes e-Vito
The most popular car might be a surprise to some, but judging by the number of phone calls, hits to the website, and vehicle demos – this e-WAV was always going to be near the top of the list.
Many customers are eager to make the switch to EV’s. The Mercedes e-Vito was our first electric WAV launched in April and has attracted a lot of interest from indivduals, companies and organisations.
This luxury WAV with up to 265 mile range is turning lots of heads!

2: Renault Kangoo
At the opposite end of the market is the always-popular Renault Kangoo.
A stalwart of wheelchair accessible vehicles, these smaller WAVs are perfect fpr those on a budget, with most models available for less than £10,000 and some for even under £5,000!
Many of our used Renault Kangoos, have relativley low mileage are in excellent condition even though they are slightly older vehicles.

3: Vauxhall Vivaro
For those looking for a larger wheelchair accessible vehicle the Vauxhall Vivaro has been the go-to choice over the last year. The Vivaros come with a ramp or in some instances a lift and the spacious interiors allow for a few seats and luggage space.

4: Mercedes Vito
The diesel version of our chart-topping e-Vito. The more traditional version offers a lift at the rear for boarding and the extra equipment and comfort associated with a slightly more-upmarket vehicle. Customers comment that the spacious interior and high ride position is appeaing.

5: Vauxhall Zafira
The Vauxhall Zaifra is probably the WAV most like a regular car, with four open-outwards doors there is nothing outwardly unuusal about the Zafira. The rear is spacious enough to offer plenty of space for a wheelchair passenger and the car is easy and comfortable to drive.

6: Fiat Doblo
When you say ‘wheelchair accessible vehicle’, chances are many people will instantly think of the Fiat Doblo. We always have at least one Fiat Doblo in stock. They are a dependable and reliable WAV. The available space in the vehicle allows it to be used as either a standard rear wheelchair passenger vehicle or an up-front vehicle allowing the wheelchair passenger to be seated next to the driver.

7: Citroen Berlingo
Citroen Berlingos are another good all-round WAVs.
The size if perfect for those that don’t want anything too large and they are available in manual or automatic versions. Equipment levels range from good to excellent and the slightly more modern versions offer many of the cmod-cons you might expect. As with many of our WAV models, some can have very low mileage on the slightly older models meaning you can get a gteat little dependable vehicle for a fantastic price.

8: Vauxhall e-Vivaro
Our current newest electric vehicle. The e-Vivaro (and also Peugeot e-Life) arrived on the scene 8 months after the e-Vito and brought a far more affordable electric wheelchair accessible vehicle to the market.
With a range of almost 150 miles, this is a perfect e-WAV for local travel and the high levels of equipment and options make this a serious contentender for best value electric WAV coming in at under £40k

9: Kia Soul
The smallest vehicle here but arguably the coolest!
Coming in two or three seat versions these small WAVs offer a high level of equipment and teh modern styling really sets them apart form most other WAVs.
A perfect town-car its small size makes parking a breeze and is ideal for couples.

10: Peugeot Rifter
We haven’t been able to get as many Peugeot Rifters in stock this year as we would have liked, but the few we did get attracted a lot of interest and really stood out on the forecourt with it’s up-to-date styling and modern equipment levels.
Expect to see more of these in 2023.. and possibly an electric version too!

2022 saw us all getting back to some kind of normality after a few tumultuous years due to COVID, as we head into 2023 we’re hoping to see our range of electric vehicles increase and hoping we can get even closer to a much more affordable new electrc wheelchair accessible vehicle… we might even start to see some used ones come into teh market.
