Can I hire a wheelchair vehicle during Lockdown?
Vehicle hire is considered an essential service, therefore WavsGB will remain open for wheelchair accessible hire.
During the last lockdown at the beginning of the year we remained open for WAV hire and were contacted by many people, charities and organisations desperate to hire a wheelchair compatible car to get family members or patients to hospital appointments.
We are based in Bath, but we hire our WAVs nationally. If you are hiring your vehicle for a week or more – we should be able to help you no matter where you are*. If you are local to us then you can hire a van from just a
day.
*While we offer a full vehicle delivery service for hires of a week or more – during lockdown this maybe impacted by any regulations and restrictions around delivery. Please contact for up to date information.
Can I buy a wheelchair vehicle during Lockdown?
The lockdown rules states that vehicle sales are not permitted during lockdown, however we may be able to help in other ways – please contact us.
We you remain open during lockdown?
Yes WavsGB will remain open over the lockdown period to assist existing hire and sales customers and assist anyone who needs a hire vehicle during the period.
We have zero-contact vehicle pick-up and drop-off and our staff wear masks as well as observing social distancing.
