The Kia Soul offers a wheelchair accessible version which is perfect for urban use or for people looking for a smaller vehicle.
The Kia Soul is perfect for couple and small families.
Kia Soul Seating Options
Kia Soul WAV’s typically come in two or three seat configurations.
Two seats in the front (driver and passenger) – the smaller sized vehicle usually has only one (or none) rear seats to allow room for the wheelchair.
Boarding for the rear seated passenger is via ‘open out’ rear doors
Kia Soul Wheelchair Access
Kia Soul’s offer rear wheelchair passenger transport. The wheelchair is boarded via the rear manual tailgate and manual ramp and secured in place with a four-point electronic restraint system.
Kia Soul’s do not typically come with a powered winch however it may be possible to have one fitted.
Available Space
The compact size of a Kia Soul means there is not much space in the rear once a rear passenger and wheelchair passenger is on-board. You may get a couple of shopping bags and smaller items behind/in-front of the wheelchair.
If you need to transport other equipment/luggae then you should consider a larger vehicle.
Ease of use
Kia Soul’s are very easy to use.
They are basically a standard car which has been converted to take a wheelchair. The manual ramps are single fold and extremely easy to use and the wheelchair restraints are the same as other WAVs.

The wheelchair converted Kia Soul is available as a 2019 model or older. Models after 2020 are electric only and as of yet have not been converted to carry a wheelchair.
