If you’ve never hired a mobility car before, it might seem a bit daunting or overwhelming. Don’t worry, we’re here to make it easy for you.
You can select a car from our range here or simply contact us and we can advise you on the best vehicle for your requirements.
Arrive at the office about 20-30 minutes before your wheelchair adapted car hire is booked.
This allows time for any paperwork and payments to be completed. It also allows some time if the office is busy.
We’ll take you out to the vehicle and show you around, including how to use the winch and secure the wheelchair. If you have any questions please ask.
We’ll ask you to inspect the vehicle for damage. Please bring anything you notice to our attention, no matter how minor.
Take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the vehicle, and make sure the wheelchair is secured correctly before you head off.
Once you’re happy, you’re good to go!
We operate a ‘full to full’ policy. We supply the wheelchair adapted car with a full tank and ask that it is returned with a full tank.
There is a petrol station conveniently located next to WavsGB, so you can easily fill up when you return your vehicle.
Park the vehicle in the allocated parking area (We’ll show you this before you leave)
Hand the keys to us in the office. We’ll inspect the vehicle and refund your deposit.
..and that’s it!
Occasionally you may need to return the car to us before we open or after we have closed.
We’re happy for you to do this, but you must tell us in advance.
If you do need this service – we’ll tell you where to leave the van and where the secure box for the keys is located.
